With less than two months to go before the Boston Marathon, we caught up with a few Newton Ambassadors who will be making the historic right on Hereford, left on Boylston. 

Doc Golden ran her first Major Marathon in New York City in 2015, beginning her journey to run all six World Major Marathons. The next decade included 22 marathons and 131 other races before getting her to the starting line of Boston this April. Doc will be running to raise money for the 261 Fearless Club New England, a charity committed to empowering women of all backgrounds through running.

Doc's weapon of choice? The Gravity 13.

Troy Hoyt is the grandson of Dick Hoyt, who changed the world for endurance athletes with disabilities by pushing his son in a wheelchair to 30+ Boston Marathon finishes. Troy runs the Hoyt Foundation with his family, a nonprofit that helps young athletes with disabilities through inclusion in all facets of life. Troy supports the Hoyt foundation both on and off the race course.

Becca Pizzi has run over twenty Boston Marathons. What is she doing when she isn't running the Boston Marathon? Breaking world records and winning marathons that range from the volcanoes of Peru to the tundra of Antarctica. Becca recently became the Race Director for the World Marathon Challenge which includes running 7 marathons on 7 continents in 7 days. Becca is also a mom and an ice cream shop owner.
