It was a big weekend in Boulder for Newton Nation, yesterday was the second annual Ironman Boulder. The day started with Newton Ambassador Thad Beaty playing the National Anthem:
Newton employees Erin Kersten and Beth Abbott both had great Ironman races. And now they are zombie walking around looking for snacks, the unofficial victory dance for triathletes.
Team Elite Runner Fernando Cabada won the Miguel Reyes Cross Country 5k
In the battle of the Tims, Tim Berkel was second at the Cebu 70.3 He was also second overall following a sprint finish. It was this close:
Professional Triathlete Alex Willis was fifth overall at the Bavarian Experience Triathlon in Frakenmuth, Michigan. If this leaves you with a few questions…you are not alone.
Newton Ambassador David Clark finished the Badwater 135 in forty hours. David’s story of transformation from being 320 lbs with a drinking problem, to a Badwater finisher with a running problem is incredible:
